Isn't the cable I linked a TRS cable (balanced) with separate left and right inputs that terminate to a 3.5 mm jack (unbalanced)? This is basically to give me an upgrade over the built-in laptop speakers. These will just be used for general listening (Spotify, YouTube, etc.), and not for recording or mixing (I use my desktop setup in its own room for that).
